Polaroids for UNICEF: Chinatown X Halloween 2009

Thanks to everyone who came and had a good time, it was a great party!

Natasha, you rock!

DJs Mike Munoz (all the way from Tokyo), Paul Walsh, Windcheater, and Richard got everyone psyched into the party spirit -- thank you!

And honestly, the bar staff must have been real zombies the next day ... otsukaresama!

Dressing up and seeing everyone dressed up is always great fun ... and special kudos to all of you who got creative and actually made your own costumes!!!

There were four of us officially recording the event: Tobias made an awesome video that you can see here, Joy's photos for GetHiroshima are here on flickr, Rebecca took photos, and I did the Polaroid UNICEF fundraiser for a second year; last year's photos (digital duplicates) are here.

GH bought the polaroid film this year so all the donations went straight to UNICEF. 11,000 yen was raised from the polaroid donations at Chinatown- 18,660 yen raised from the Halloween family picnic raffle and polaroids bringing it to a total UNICEF donation of 29,660 yen in 2009).

Although fewer people participated in the Polaroid fundraiser this year, we improved on 2008's donations because of the raffle at the kids' picnic: 29,600 yen total this year from a total Halloween donation of 16,111 yen (after film expenses) last year.

See the Polaroids (digital duplicates, sorry, the originals went to the people who donated) from the Kids' Halloween Picnic here and from Chinatown X here.

If you have a moment, please check out Michelle Crothers' very cool cut paper Halloween art here.
